An EMDR Intensive offers an alternative to weekly therapy, allowing the flexibility to schedule sessions in 3 hour increments in one day or over multiple days. We can tailor the schedule to accommodate your healing without disrupting your day-to-day responsibilities.

I specialize in working with women in the following areas:

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) resulting from sexual assault, violence, auto accidents, natural disasters, or witnessing a traumatic experience.

Complex trauma or multiple traumas experienced in childhood such as physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, neglect, witnessing domestic violence, or impact of being raised by caregivers who had mental illness or abused substances.

Grief and loss including the recent loss of a loved one, a traumatic loss or unprocessed grief resulting from the untimely loss of caregivers, siblings or friends in childhood.

Vicarious trauma, also known as secondary trauma, compassion fatigue, or empathic strain, refers to the emotional and psychological impact experienced by individuals who are regularly exposed to the traumatic experiences and stories of others.

Approach to Therapy


Empathy is at the core of my personal and therapeutic practice. Empathy plays a crucial role in building a meaningful therapeutic relationship, promoting collaboration and fostering a sense of curiosity. I recognize the importance of honoring your unique journey and ensuring that therapy progresses at a pace that feels comfortable and safe for you.

Therapy is a collaborative experience. I firmly believe each of us possesses the inherent ability to heal within ourselves. My role is to provide guidance and support, offering a metaphorical flashlight to help you navigate the darker areas. Together, we will work as a team, drawing on your self-knowledge and my experience and education in trauma recovery to facilitate the healing process.

Curiosity serves as the foundation for our therapeutic journey and contributes to the development of a supportive therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create an environment where you feel accepted and understood without fear of judgment or criticism. Curiosity allows us to explore recurring patterns, triggers, and reactions, leading to increased self-awareness and insight.

Please note the following:

I offer appointments Tuesdays-Fridays between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm. If you need an appointment outside of that window, I am happy to provide you with a list of referrals.
I am an out of network provider with most insurances.

All weekly therapy sessions are conducted via Telehealth for Connecticut residents only. A stable video connection and privacy are required for treatment.
